Sexism Response Workshop

WICS, Math HeForShe, and Engineering HeForShe are running a Sexism Response Workshop. The workshop focuses on strategies for responding constructively to micro aggressions and biases. If you’ve ever been told that you only got into your program "because you're a girl”, or you’re sick of being called the "diversity hire" without a witty retort in mind, this workshop is for you! We’ll be covering response strategies that you can use every day -- whether you are the target of the comment or a bystander. (How to respond to sexual harassment is a whole different workshop.) This will be an interactive workshop, with lots of group discussion of different scenarios in different contexts.

Students of all genders are welcome.

The majority of women will experience some form of sexism in their lives — whether it be at school, in the workplace, or elsewhere. You should attend this workshop to explore and practice effective responses to sexist comments.

Register only if you are definitely attending the event. Those who register but don’t show up drain our funds resulting in us being able to offer you less.
